George Bush’s biggest lie: “I have kept the country safe since 9-11.”

VHeadline managing editor Elio F. Cequea writes: George Bush’s biggest lie: “I have kept the country safe since 9-11.”

That is his “legacy”: seven years without terrorist attack thanks to the torture of prisoners in Guantanamo Bay and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

If you are one of those who want to thank Bush for that, think about this:

• The first terrorist attack on the World Trade Center occurred on February 26, 1993.
  
• The second terrorist attack occurred on September 11, 2001.

There are more than eight years between the first and the second attack.

From February 26, 1993 to September 11, 2001 there was not a single terrorist attack in the United States. The country was kept safe longer than Bush claims he did ... and there was never “a need” for torturing anybody or attacking any country.

That is a fact!
