Venezuela May Replace President of Central Bank, Nacional Says

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez is considering replacement candidates for central bank President Gaston Parra Luzardo, who has been unable to work for several weeks because of health reasons, El Nacional reported.
Former Planning Minister Jorge Giordani, former Finance Minister Rodrigo Cabezas and central bank director Armando Leon are all being considered, the newspaper said, without saying where it obtained the information. A spokesman at the information and communications ministry declined to comment when contacted by Bloomberg News. Chavez also needs to name two new members to the central bank board to replace Rafael Kruzat and Bernardo Ferran, whose terms expired more than a year ago, El Nacional reported.
