Venezuela: SENIAT has collected 80 Percent of its goal for March

Caracas, Mar 24. ABN.- The collection goal of the Income Tax (ISLR) established in 3 billion bolívares fuertes (Bs.F.) for March has been covered up to now in 80%, the National Customs and Tax System Superintendent, José David Cabello.

The statement was made by Cabello from the venue of the Universidad Bolivariana de Venezuela (UBV). He pointed out that in January and February the collection goal established was broken and the trimester goal, which was over 17 or 18 trillion bolívares (about 8.3 billion dollars), has been reached.

“I think that, with no inconvenient, the goal for 2008 of 74 billion bolívares fuertes (about 34 billion dollars) established by the National Integrated Service of Customs and Tax System Administration (SENIAT) will be reached with no problem”, he stressed.

According to Cabello, the most important thing is that the collection work of the ISLR is being carried out effectively and the tax conscience is growing among citizens.
