United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) focuses on defining regional organizational structures

Caracas, Mar 25 (Prensa Latina) The United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) is focused on defining regional organizational structures, which are considered a key element for the general elections.

PSUV leaders indicated the members of the party commissions at different levels are expected to be named in coming days.

Regarding that, President Hugo Chavez pointed out they are carefully working to select candidates to governors, mayors, and members of the legislative councils.

That step is very important to keep pro-Chavez political forces in the posts already won, and perhaps gain those still in the hands of the opposition.

Chavez also warned of his adversaries efforts to take on provincial governments and mayoralties run by supporters of the government.

The president recently called for the renewal of the patriotic pole with allied political organizations ands social movements, to agree on a list of candidates approved by the grass roots.

Meanwhile, the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV) priority in the current political agenda is to build and consolidate unity of forces around the revolutionary process.
