Caracas will be the worldwide capital against the mass media terrorism

Caracas, March 24 ABN.- From this Thursday until Sunday 30th, Caracas will house in the Rómulo Gallegos Center for Latin American Studies (CELARG) the 'Latin American Meeting against the Mass Media Terrorism.'

President Chávez said that during the event several policies will be developed to struggle against a serious problem that affect the Latin America countries. 'It is necessary to discuss about it. The media terrorism uses the radio, press and TV to generate war, violence, fear and anguish to the people,' the President assured.

The President invited all the Venezuelans to participate in the event and to attend the conferences and addresses.

Meanwhile, the Bolivarian News Agency ABN' s chief, Freddy Fernández, said that journalists from more than 14 Latin American countries will attend the activity.

'The goal is to counteract the actions taken by the Inter American Press Association during the last 10 years, which has led the domination strategy planned for the United States over the region,' he said.
